Omar Yunes Steers Sushi Itto to Success and Prominence

Omar Yunes gained international acclaim after joining a Japanese food service network, Shushi Itto, as a franchise. He helped one of Sushi Itto’s subsidiary to win the 2015 Best Franchise of the World (BFW) award in a ceremony held in Florence, Italy. The award goes to brands that are excelling in the franchising landscape. While speaking during the BFW award ceremony, Omar Yunes attributed the company’s success to its 400 employees. Besides Mexico City, Sushi Itto operates 13 more franchise units in Puebla and Veracruz. Professionals at Sushi Itto have been instrumental in helping the food industry develop innovative and exceptional products.

BFW award ceremony featured representatives from 34 nations including Hungary, Portugal, Brazil, and Mexico. The honorees were awarded based on their contribution to brand, influence, knowledge, and motivation of employees. Omar’s involvement in helping Sushi Itto control and implement and adopt better management strategies earned him the first position in the national qualifier category. The second place went to Ivan Tamer, who works as a franchise at Prendamex. According to Benjamin Cancelmo, Sushi’s CEO, BFW’s award reflect the company’ commitment to offering excellent customer service. The judges for the coveted BFW award comprised of the Mexican Association of Franchise, the Entrepreneur, and the Universidad Anahuac.
